WHERE DO OUR SCHOOL TAXES GO?
To District Administrators~ Who cost us 2.4 times more than other Ohio school districts, large and small. With more administrators per student and higher average administrator salaries, CHUH spends a whopping $3,311 per student for administrator costs, while other districts spend only $1,426 We have 5,300 to 6,881 students in the District (depends on which report you read on the Ohio Dept. of Educ. website). This means District Administration annually receives: $17,288,600 or $20,488,622 MISSING: $15 Million !?!? MISSING: $15 Million !?!? When we requested a list of ALL District administrators, Scott Gainer, District Treasurer, provided only 37 names and couldn't/wouldn't explain how the state's Department of Education calculated the District's FY13 $3,262/student administrative costs!. That list of administrators account for over $5.5 million in compensation. Which means there is anywhere from $16.7-$15 million that does not go to general or school administration. We need an explanation about this unidentified $15 million ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENDITURE before this District gets any more of our money! So, when levy supporters claim "they" will have to cut the number of teachers or other programs, just remember who will NOT be getting any cuts or reductions in salaries: Administrators!
